JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa

I have visited over 50 countries, and this is hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had. The service goes far beyond expectations. The staff are proactive and attentive, often anticipating our needs before we even spoke.They made our family vacation special with thoughtful touches, like preparing a tent for my daughter and leaving daily surprise treats and notes. The location is stunning, with beautiful kids' pools that are easily accessible from the rooms and beach. The food is amazing and the cleanliness is top-tier. 10/10 experience.

Absolutely nothing to mention here

I liked that the hotel was very clean, beautiful, and had a unique university-inspired concept. The staff were friendly, and it was very convenient to have water and SPF sunscreen available at the beach. The breakfast was delicious, and the bar was great, with beautiful and tasty cocktails. A huge thank you to the staff for constantly cleaning the beach — I know it must have been incredibly difficult

It wasn’t very convenient to contact the hotel by email or by phone, as calling required a local SIM card. I would have appreciated having WhatsApp available for ongoing support. I would also suggest extending the coffee shop opening hours until 8 PM, and providing not only SPF 50 but also SPF 30 at the beach. It would also be helpful to have drinking water available at the reception.Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather in early January — it was very windy. I recommend checking the weather forecast before booking. Because of the strong wind, we couldn’t swim in the sea, and no water activities were available.

The most wonderful place we have ever been to! Location, pools, beach, rooms are amazing. The breakfast and dinner is 10/10. The staff is welcomed and so polite. We’d like to highlight their attention to details. We felt like superstars there. You don’t need even leave the hotel territory: there is spa, 3 pools (1/3 adults only), different kind of activities, snorkeling, restaurants, bar and even beer yoga ?They have an app where you can order food to any hotel location you are. I was so sad because we needed to leave this amazing place.

Vert friendly and attentative staff. The Pink pearl 7 course meal was absolutely excellent. Well balanced ingredients and cooked to perfection. (Thank you Danny Do) The pastries at the coffe shop were delicious.

1. Some of the food wasn't great. For instane the oysters at Redrum were so rinsed that they had no flavor and the small octopus was very rubbery. (But they did replace those with a large tentacle that we well cooked. )Also the Tempus fugit (spelling?) dinner was just OK.

Cleanliness.

Some works going on so value was not the best.I asked to print out a document the was very private yet two staff members were present and one looked like could be reading my document.

Excellent property management are beyond my expectations. The beach view was beautiful and I liked the services at the pool and beach area.Front deck stuff had Avery worm well come specially STEVENY , excellent introduction to the property with all times smiling face .Thanks to all stuff

My stay at JW Marriott was truly exceptional. The team is amazing, and the property itself is a masterpiece—full of art, intricate details, and fine architecture. The food was outstanding, but what made the experience even more memorable was Rafael at the restaurant. He is simply exceptional. From his body language to the way he addressed and received my requests, he showed incredible understanding, respect, and professionalism. He is a true jewel, and JW Marriott should be proud to have him representing them so perfectly.

Late check in for 30 minutes

The best hotel we ever been. You can truly experience how staff cares about your stay and chill. You just want to stay in the hotel and do not leave it for any reason. Perfect beach, exceptional pools and fine dining.

Bar at the pool opens at 11 which is late imho. It would be better to open it at 9.

We visited the hotel for the second time, and it remains an architectural masterpiece, refined in every detail. It ranks among my top five hotels in the world. The hotel is located at the end of a beautiful white sand beach. Until last year, the beach was private, with access restricted to only hotel guests. This year, however, even non-guests are allowed to visit, but it hasn’t felt intrusive. The breakfast is the best, offering a splendid selection of European and Asian hot and cold dishes, fresh fruits, and drinks—served in a sumptuous style.

Hotels of this type on the island provide complimentary transportation to and from the hotel. We were offered transportation that was quite expensive by local standards.

The most beautiful resort in phu quoc is jw, I had an amazing stay in this resort, the room design is royal, I swear, the most beautiful room, I have ever been, very beautiful room, I loved the bathroom, and the balcony so spacious with an amazing view over the pool and the beach, and the breakfast was very delicious, and the staff are very welcoming and nice, and the amazing pools and the beautiful beach,the restaurants of resort are very good, and French and Co, I loved everything in this resort....

3 nights wasn't enough,

To sum it up: fantastic. We took spacious room overlooking the ocean with beautiful and big balcony, the bathroom, the bed everything is amazing. Hotel has the best beach on Phu Quoc, white sand with turquise sea, great bars and restaurants and property is well maintained with lots of greenery, palm trees, flowers etc.The pools are amazing, hotel lobby and reception absolutely stunning. The staff is also great, polite and helpful. Room service was also very good(amazing burger), with this hotel you cannot be unhappy. Very close to Sunset town, Cable car and around 25mins to the center. Close by on the beach you can find cool beach bars and it is great for evening walk.

The fabulous location, size of the rooms, staff helpfulness, and breakfast was unbeatable! Shout-out for Rafael & Phap who ran the outside breakfast area - they worked like Trojans to keep us serviced, happy and the area clean. Always with a smile

Lack of GF choice on food, beer & snacks. Surprisingly little in the way of activities (mostly add-ons available), messaging wasn’t clear (we had no idea for eg about the market on saturday, the live music at Red Rum bar)

He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire journey even more enjoyable, showing us breathtaking landscapes and sharing fascinating insights about the area. It was an experience we will cherish forever!The interiors and exteriors of the hotel are simply flawless—every detail is carefully thought out, from the elegant design of the rooms to the beautifully maintained gardens and common areas. It’s a place where luxury meets comfort, making every moment here special.And of course, the food deserves a special mention! Every meal felt like a culinary journey, with incredibly delicious and beautifully presented dishes. The variety of flavors and fresh ingredients made every dining experience exciting and memorable. Whether it was breakfast with a view of the sea or a romantic dinner under the stars, each bite was a delight.This hotel exceeded all our expectations in every way! Everything from the service to the ambiance, the food, and the overall experience was simply outstanding. We would rate it even higher than 10/10 if we could! Without a doubt, we will return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect vacation in Phu Quoc!

The hotel is very beautiful with its own history which you can see everywhere in the resort.The room was fantastic with such a beautiful French design.

There were tree pools on the resort which is great, there is room for everyone. The beach was nice and clean, the water was super clean.About the breakfast:the coffee was top notch, a lot of options from different cuisines. The staff is very polite and always smiling.

Very unique property, i loved the colonial theme rooms and buildings, loved the grounds of the property very much it was very well manicured

I didn’t like that the beach was accessible to public

I was disappointed with my recent experience. The staff were not welcoming and seemed overly focused on pushing a voucher for food and spa services costing up to 20 million dong. I explained that we were planning to explore the area during our two-night stay, and with breakfast already included, we simply wouldn’t have the time to use all the services offered. Despite this, they continued to insist, which felt intrusive.Additionally, the hotel refers to itself as a “university,” which is confusing and adds unnecessary complexity. The program is difficult to read and navigate, making it frustrating to find relevant information. Instead of enhancing the experience, it made our stay unnecessarily stressful.While the buildings look impressive in photos, the design is not practical. Carrying luggage and walking extra distances to reach the room was inconvenient and further detracted from the overall experience.

Clean and hideaway beach. Freindly staff. Exeptional breakfast. Great territory and facilities. Nice restaurants

Beautifully designed hotel, attentive and polite staff, I recommend to get a room on the first floor ocean view because it was amazing to wake up with sunrise from the sea. Breakfast also was good.

It’s not walking friendly but it’s not really a problem because your main goal should be relax at this hotel :)

Disappointing

Restaurant staff was not friendly. Beach was dirty and full of trash. Location was far from city central.

The location and the whole territory is amazing. The design and the buildings are great.

No real choice for food! The food and service quality is very poor. The language barrier is high.
